Snapper NXT Mowers: The “NXT” Generation Of Mowers

Introducing the new Snapper NXT mower line.  Snapper asked thousands of everyday users what they were looking for and needed in a lawn mower.  Snapper used those answers and suggestions to develop the blueprint for the NXT mower line.

The Lawnmower You Designed

Snapper started with a blank sheet of paper and a singular goal: To create new mowers that provide our best mowing experience ever.

To get there, Snapper asked you and thousands of other homeowners what you liked and didn’t like about your mowers. In collaboration with BMW Group DesignWorks U.S.A., Snapper conducted extensive and sophisticated consumer research that can be reduced to this question: Describe the ultimate lawnmower?

From The Snapper Research Center to Your Backyard

After countless hours of interviews and observations, Snapper engineers and designers spent three years incorporating what we learned from you into dozens of prototype mowers. We tested and re-tested them and then engineered key findings into the final product.

The results are nothing short of groundbreaking. These units start with the user and end with the user. Thanks to your input, every feature, every dimension and every control has been nuanced from the operator’s point of view.

Beginning with their revolutionary push button starting system, the Snapper NXT redefines the grass cutting experience. Never before has a lawn mower been so responsive, so intelligent, so comfortable and so powerful. The Snapper NXT is your lawn mower and the next generation of Snapper.

I just bought the Snapper NXT 23hp 46” deck mower. On the way home with my NXT a stranger noticed it in the back of my pickup and commented how good look of a mower it was which I agree. First impressions of use was seat was comfortable but for me did not have enough back support but other wise was large and comfortable. The day I mowed temperatures were very hot 90+ degrees which I wanted to see how the seat would perform. As hot as it was out I had just a little sweat on my back other than that the new seat did well. I have had all Kohler engines in the past with this being the first Briggs engine on a rider. It ran flawlessly. I was interested how the digital dash panel would perform, very well thank you. In darker area’s you can see it very well and in direct sun light you could still see the functions. We will see the longevity of the dash though. The push button start/stop worked as promised after installing the ignition card this to me is a novelty idea. How hard was it to turn a key before? I have some hills I mow and the NXT was sure footed no problems. I liked the tight turning radius and the feel of the steering wheel coming from a ZTR mower. LED lights seem bright but not as well as my old Cub Cadet garden tractor. There again how often do you mow grass at night. It had not rained for a while so my grass was not thick but seem to cut well. There was a tinny rattle coming from the mower deck which at first I thought were the pulleys but I narrowed it down to the anti scrap wheels on the deck. As a safety feature when backing up and the mower engaged you have to turn a key on the dash. To me this is very annoying. I found the switch for this under the mower body by the reverse foot pedal and disconnected it. No problems backing up now. Revolutionary, not sure about that but over all seems to be a nice mower and recommend NXT.
